FAQ
SHIPPING
Yes, I reckon! I ship to the United States, and all other countries via United States Postal Service.
If you're outside of the US, make sure to choose the International shipping option.
I live in Portland too, do you offer local pick-up?
Sure do! During checkout, use the coupon code " INTOWNPICKUP " to nil the shipping.
Pick up location is at A Better Cycle (2324 SE Division St. Portland, Ore. 97202)
Orders are usually available at the shop by 10am the day after your completed order. (Orders placed on Thurs., and Fri are available on Sunday.) Wait for the confirmation via email to be sure. I'll let you know when it's headed to the shop!
GIFT ORDERS
All rolls come packaged as a present, so whether you're buying a gift for someone else, or treatin' yourself to some rad organizing magic, you'll receive a present in the mail.
I always include a little note, if you'd like it to be a message from you, just tell me in the "order notes" section during checkout.
Also, no packing slip or receipt is included (digital age and all), so if sending to a friend, they won't be greeted with any dollar amounts.
CUSTOM ORDERS
I don’t see the colors I want in the style I want.
short answer: Just send me a message I may be able to whip one up for you.
long answer: I looooooove color. So much so that all-in-all there are over 50 colorways across the variety of tool rolls.
Back when I was just making bike tool rolls, no big deal, but since branching out, it's gotten complicated to keep everything in stock. I keep the basics and a couple of color-upper cuts. I want you to have the colors you want though, so email me and let's see! rachel.db@bundleandstow.com
For projects of more than 20 tool rolls I will merrily design and manufacture a custom tool roll (usually with prototyping rolled into the final per roll price). You will need to send me a set of the tools you'd like the roll to accomodate.
Individual custom orders can be tricky. A lot of time and brainpower goes into designing the perfect roll for the tools at hand. The amount most people are willing to spend on one custom roll is less than the amount required to earn a living wage.
That being said, the 48 pencil roll came about from a custom order inquiry and I am so glad it did! If the idea is a marketable product on the other end, we can usually strike a deal!
PAYMENT
Paypal is the default payment method, and these days you can even pay with cc without having a paypal account!
If for any reason you are unable to pay via paypal, just get in touch and we'll sort it all out together.
For large custom orders I usually prefer a check (save on that 3% processing fee 'yo!).
RETURNS and EXCHANGES
Purchase with confidence.
If for some reason you get the roll and you realize you thought it was a different size, or it's not going to work for your tools afterall... shoot me an email, and send the roll back (within 14 days of receipt) for a refund (not including shipping), or exchange!
This may or may not include sale items, at my discretion.
Why yes, yes I do.
A fancy-schmancy way to order wholesale is in the works, but until that show gets ironed out just email me: rachel.db@bundleandstow.com
MISCELLANEOUS
I wish (and am simultaneously thankful I don't). Retail is a lot of hard work! While my dream is to have a working studio/storefront in the next 3-5 years, right now I'm making my way about town in some other adorable and awesome retail shops. Check back or email for a current list: rachel.db@bundleandstow.com
I want to donate to everyone who asks, but it's just not sustainable.
I have a set donation budget and use a rubric to determine which events to donate to. It especially warms my heart when the event benefits: kids+arts education, bicycling advocacy organizations, nature preserves and the like.
Filling out my donation request form [coming soon] will make it 10x easier for me to say yes!
I know action and donation procurement can be a thankless chore--so many emails to send out and so few responses received. Keep at it. Being as specific as possible with what you're asking for is huge, help us small business owners help you! Minimize the decisions we have to make, keep it short and sweet, tell us what your dream is!
Do you trade with other craftspersons?
Almost always!
I've always been a bit of chicken about asking people to trade with me, so if you've got the gumption I've got the tool roll(s).
I especially like trading for ceramics, brightly colored and/or pithy greeting cards, lighthearted illustrations, and labradorite jewelry. But you may make something that just hasn't had a chance to be my favorite yet! email me: rachel.db@bundleandstow.com
